Job description

LabNco. is a young and growing company located in the Quebec City area. We are currently looking for someone who will contribute to the success of our residential, institutional, cultural and other clients' projects. By joining our team, you will be able to put your skills and creativity to good use!

What can you accomplish?

As an architect, you will be responsible for developing architectural, interior and urban design concepts, master plans, and coordinating and planning project tasks and deliverables. In collaboration with the founding architect, you will be expected to thrive in these tasks:

2D/3D design of projects of various scales

3D modelling of proposed concepts

Preparing presentation files (Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, etc.) and making presentations to clients

Coordinate the work of various external collaborators

Prepare feasibility studies, functional and technical programs, budget studies and cost estimates for projects

Coordinating plans, construction details and supervision of execution works

Organizing and coordinating the preparation of technical specifications and documents required for construction approvals and permits

Develop work plans, in collaboration with the lead architect

Produce schedules of deliverables, allocate tasks and coordinate resources

Develop studies, concepts, preliminaries and final plans and specifications for various projects

Develop and monitor projects independently

Participate in specialized and pre-conceptual mandates related to the spatialization of clients' brand image

Conduct research and development in design and architecture.


Profile we are looking for?

LabNco. is looking for an architect to participate in our mission: to foster human flourishing by modulating the environment and incorporating science into designs of any scale. The ideal candidate is autonomous and stands out for his/her intellectual curiosity and creativity. In addition, he/she has the following skills:

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in architecture (essential)
  • Member of the Ordre des Architectes du Québec (essential)
  • A good knowledge of standards, codes and regulations;
  • Ideally have 10 years of experience in the field of architecture
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, 3DMax, Sketchup, Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshoper (asset)
  • Have a rigorous approach and ability to develop a concept
  • Interest in 3D modeling and architectural visualization
  • Solution oriented and science oriented
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage several files simultaneously
  • Good command of written and spoken French
  • Interest in human behaviour, research, innovation and new approaches to design
  • Good command of English (an asset).
